Fashion blogs are weird. Can we just get it out in the open?

However, I've found the resources for women below the legendary height of 5'4" are few and far between. Worse, the petite sections of a lot of stores are not just limited compared to the larger selection, they've somehow managed to collect only the "cutesy" pieces, as if we needed another reason for someone to ask us how our freshman year is going. 

The idea for La Petite Femme (or The Small Woman) came over a year ago, maybe two. Fashion has always been a way for me to express, explore, and have a bit of fun, but I'm forever plagued by anything and everything being too long and too slumpy. I've always favored a fitted, tailored look, but sometimes it's hard to find. (I'm 5'2" and 3/4" in case you're wondering.)

I want LPF to be a column to have fun, explore fashion, and hopefully share some tips on how I work with a tiny torso.
