Chocolate Cold Brew Smoothie Bowl
IT'S NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY
So before we do anything else, let us PTL for the tiny bean that is cacao and sing songs of adoration. For the bean is my help in times of trouble and giver of life and energy.
Chocolate is the bff that never lets me down. Picks me up and lets me soar on wings like eagles. And so does cold brew. So why not bring them together in holy matrimony. Or at least culinary matrimony. Again, let us PTL for the small but mighty cacao bean.

At the risk of sounding like a total millennial, I get a lot of my news from checking twitter in the morning. Lately it's been quite a let down, no fandoms taking over the world or superstars cutting off their hair, just politics spiraling down into a colossal disaster we'll have to deal with in the next four years.
Except today.
Today is national chocolate day. There it was in all its glory, the tiny little hashtag that could. Literally changed my day around. I went from working from the couch to grabbing my apron and hitting the blender for this baby. If you like chocolate and cold brew, frankly there really isn't a better breakfast option. Or lunch. Or dinner. Essentially eat this at all times.
PTL for chocolate
Chocolate Cold Brew Smoothie Bowls
For the Bowls:
1/2 - 3/4 frozen banana
1/2 fresh banana
3/4 c frozen blueberries/mixed berries
1 T cacao
2 1/2 - 3 T coco powder
3/4 c coconut cold brew (1/4 cup coconut milk,
1/2 cold brew. I make my own, but any store bought will do!)
small handful hazelnuts (less than a 1/4 cup)
pinch cinnamon
Topping:
frozen raspberries or blackberries
1 t chia seed
1 t hemp
chopped hazelnuts
coconut flakes
a few pomegranates
To make:
Blend bananas, berries, and half of the cold brew/coconut milk. Add remaining ingredients, adding in cold brew as needed to thicken.
Top with any and all toppings. Super energizing and chocolatey! #nationalchocolateday
